Yesterday was the longest day of the year… and it brought with it.. first downpour of the season!!… got drenched in the first shower itself…!! Was out wid mom… and me n mom had a blissful ride back home..on my activa.. getting soaked!!!…. [:)] Happy Me!!
I was suppose to write my first paper of 6th semester yesterday… buh it never happened!!.. Don’t wanna discuss details of it here.. its too cruel to be reminded of again..!!!.. My frustrations abt my university.. cannot be put in words!!Donno wen ma exams r gonna begin… lets c n hope for the best!!!!
Lotsa things goin around these dayz… mom n dimpy leaving for assam on 30th.. so its like.. last minute shopping,packing, repacking.. dance practice..(nana nani’s 50th wedding anniversary celebrations.. a reason to celebrate ofcourse) etc etc…
Leafing through the newspaper these days.. the news that appears with highest frequency.. is crime against women.. Rape..(A case of gangrape..that stirred one of the safest city for women in India – Surat),dowry deaths, assault,eve teasing,physical abuse,female foeticide,low rate of girl’s education etc etc…
Society needs to change… Its the need of the hour!! It needs to be wake up and stand against such heinous crimes..!!
Monsoon is here… Exams dates not announced.. In a dilemma..wat to study??!!!.. My plans to learn driving a car..and hit a gym are going down the drain!!.. In a Soup… altogether!!… Help me out plz!!!

Well.. I have been acting like a switch for quite a while now..!!! Have been switching from one thing to another for no apparent reason..!!!
Did some serious switching when it comes to books..!! Switched from "to kill a mocking bird" (read 8 pages!) to The Japanese Wife by Kunal Basu (finishing 4 out of 12 short stories!) to finally FREAKONOMICS now!!! The last switch was a prominent one.. marking two switching in a go. Switching from one book to another.. and also.. I switched from reading Fictions to Non Fiction!!!
Have started reading E Books! (another switching act)..
Did some switching for the cause of my motherland too!!! Voted for a different political party.. !! (from that of last year's election!)... My Vote was important!!.. so it is only for my motherland!!!...ahem ahem... Enough Patriotism!!!

Pratibha was here for couple of days... to attend Pinky's engagement..!! Pinky looked gorgeous! I am having a tendency to dance everytime these dayz!! just cant stop myself..!! Be it during lectures or lab..its hard time controlling myself..!! Sasural Genda phool.. n Masakalli.. jus dont allow me to stop my feet!!

Well... Well. sabse pehle... Its April now... n I celebrated ma 22nd bday last week...!!! Waise kind of.. was the most boring bday i ever had.. buh still no issues!!... Lifez good .. the way it is!! The day began with calls n msgs from frnz n relatives..., A bouquet of flower, pastries n gifts from Pratibha n Kannu...!! Then... the usual tour to college.. I bunked it though!!! BUh had to work for our Kshitij project thodi si der..!! then back.. n did nothing.. buh spent time reading novel! Went out in the evening with Pratibha , Kannu n Dimpy... Had fun..!! Ate like big time Gluttons!! Charu came in the evening... n ate another icecream.. :)
Had our college technical festival this weekend... Gosh It was so damn hectic n tiring!! Finally... 3 weeks dimaag lagane ke baad bhi... our digital visitor counter didnt work!! :( Hitesh did help a lot.. thanks buddy!! Buh altogether had lotsa fun.. !! N now... Its time to groom myself... spent 3 hours in the parlour today!!! :P :P :P yaar... ek saal mai ek baar chalta hai!! n the occasion is special enuff for all these hours!!! hai naa!!! Well... Pratibha is back to Jaipur...will be cumin again in a fortnight for pinky's engagement! Me, dimpy Shilpa n Kannu.. went to Dominos Yesterday!.. The Peppy Paneer cheese burst Pizza n Garlic bread sticks.. were super Yum!!!! Loved it!!

Guys!! Today is Charu's bday! For all those out thr... who don't know who she is... Shez ma best friend.. since school dayz!!! N She is one of the most treasured n valued person in ma life!!! Now well.. to describe her.. will jus copy-paste ma testimonial for her on orkut!! Charu!!.. ma angel, ma best buddy!!! Well… Its been like 10 long years..since we have known each other…n believe me.. I haven’t met a person more understanding then her.. atleast in ma case!!! We have spent some of our best moments of life together.. and we still do!! Shez a hard worker…. Has got strong will power, romantic at heart, n is a gr8 company!!! Shez very sensitive.. caring.. loving.. intelligent, an awesome dancer, has got a million dollar smile, very pretty.., polite, a good cook, quite introvert, an understanding n caring daughter to her parents and a gr8 friend!!! I can speak my heart out to her… never have to think abt anything b4 disclosing it to her…!! we can sit and chitchat for hours together… N wen it comes to freaking out, having fun..n gossiping.. believe me.... we rock!!! We both know each other inside out… and though we sumtyms behave in insane ways.. trying not to talk to each other…hiding things from each other.. which we eventually flush out... n even bitching abt each other… buh still.. we know.. we r thr for each other.. today n foreva.. hai naa!!! She has been thr for me during ma thick n thins.. n I really do respect the bond we share.. n wish it always be the same!!! Yaar.. don’t ever change urself for anybody.. always be the same!!! Well.. March'2009 is gonna end! Gosh! how time flies! I realized that its been late since I last posted something on ma blog! Well.. these month was busier then its predecessor ..n I guess.. its successor is going to be still busier! The month was mostly devoted for academic n co-curricular activities! Writing files, working for project n CAT preparations have really kept me busy all these dayz! Its a very hectic run.. from 8 to 8 in the evening..!! No movies this month!! Finished with The White Tiger!.. Well.. as a reader I would appreciate the book. Adiga is a born story teller!!! The end was.. pata nahi kya!!! As an Indian, I was hurt!! The book has got some negative point to be derived from anything n everything that is Indian!!! Think of anything Indian, and refer The white tiger for it..!!! U will find.. the dark side of the term!! Brought V.S Naipaul's A bend in the river from library!! Turned it down the other day!!! Found so many complex sentences in it!! N ma life was already too complex this month to understand anymore complexity!! The next was.. Amitav Ghosh's Sea of Poppies! Turned it down after 2 days..n 25 pages!! again too complex for this month!! The final one.. which m reading now is Khaled Hosseini's "A Thousand Splendid Suns"..!! Finding it a beautiful piece of work! Had read The Kite Runner by him earlier.. had found it good too!!.. N m finding this one better.. so far!!! Its hardly 10 days now... for our reunion after 13 months..n 1 week to be exact! N u bet.. I am looking forward to it.. like anything!!! We went to Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM station last week.. as a part of industrial visit! Enjoyed a lot!! had a real gala tym!! Me, pratibha n Kannu went to SnS one evening... and had a good tym thr too!! Today is Gangaur's last day! Pratibha will be relieved finally!! N yeah!! Its ma bday tomorrow.. according to Hindu Calendar!! So... Well.. another random post in succession... the last one was abt a fortnite b4..!! In the two weeks tht has gone by... or rather i sud say have flown by..i was quite a busy bee..!! Sabse pehle... wishing u all a very happie n colorful Holi!!! :) :) :) M not very late.. it was there yesterday!!! My 12th classmates.. miral,vishakha,urvish,sameer,vijay n ankit came to ma complex.. had a fun time.. playing holi with them..!! it was after 3 years .. that i had played holi. so enjoyed it thoroughly!! Proud of myself... For using only eco-friendly colors for playing holi!! Others didnt use it on me though!!! ;) The night before dhuleti, we celbrated the burning of holika..(holika dahen).. Its fun here in ma complex.. celebrating it with frnz n family! Pratibha is back to surat for gangaur puja... n will be leaving after ma bday..!! The thing tht kept me busy most of the time was.. Project work.. for Kshitij 2009 (our college tech fest)!! Today.. after a long n dramatic search for topics.. we finally found one.. on which we can try our hands!! Have decided to make a digital visitor counter.. will be posting the details later on..!! Ma CAT preps again came to a standstill from the weekend gone by... I am trying hard to resume it.. hope I do tht by earliest!! Miss u Gawar!!.. :( My last read was animal's people by Indra Sinha.. which I somehow managed to finish yesterday evening... It was quite a monotonous toned book... boring at the end.. BUh it sends waves of shiver through ma body.. to read abt such situation.. n such lives of people!! The story is about "animal", a boy who has survived the aftermath of a chemical leakage from a factory plant, in Khaufpur! It is the story of the trauma n pain of the inhabitants of the place... as they continue to live a wretched life.. even 20 years later! It is the story of their fight against the "kampani", against the hypocrite govt... n against the time! NOt a very good read,,.. buh can be read once!
Now I am reading.. the white tiger.. by aravind adiga.. n have lotsa expectations from it.. letc c how it lives up to it!!!

I was on air on radio city 91.1 fm..!!! had a gala time with RJ Sufi.. when he came to pratibha's place to take kannu's interview (for their holi special show).. !! Now people wondering.. why Kannu's??? coz hez a loyal listener n caller of their shows.. n have made numerous calls to RJ leena.. so many so as to make her remember his name and phone number!!! :P :P :P Here, I got a chance too..!!! Well.. ever since I lost ma first blog.. the "Random" posts had cum to a standstill..!! Buh lets begin with them again... Hmm...Today is the first day of 3rd month of 2009th year AD.. the last month was colorful.. lotsa things taking place around the corner.. guests cumin n goin by dozens..(a dozen is still to go)!...Had ma vacations..hectic IMS schedule...then reopening of college.. n agn Hectic IMS schedule... Buh still. m happy with the month gone by!! The month began..marking the end of ma 5th semester exams..!! the next two days.. were spent with Pratibha n Pankaj.. Got to teach dance after ages.. dimpy had her freshers events at college.. so taught her group..!! They performed wonderfully!!... Gave CATanalysis exam at IMS... comprised of CAT'08 paper.. managed a decent score in english.. buh screwed Quants and DI/LR big time!!! I know i need to word hard on these two subjects... wish me luck!!! Watched a single movie ..as pre decided!!.. DELHI-6 ... didnt live upto ma expectations.. buh still was okies types!! SOnam and Abhi were good..Divya DUtta rocked!! Monkey Man was driving me insane!!!!.. The proportion of things shown were not spiced properly ..acc to me!! there sud have been less of "kaala bandar" and more of other issues shown... Fell in love with the songs!!!.... Rahman truly rocks!!! Love u!! "Slumdog Millionaire" creates history yet agn... Its academy awards now.. a straight 8!!.. including 4 for indian nationalites!! Rahman n Gulzar..Proud of u!!! LOve the movie!!.. read a book... PLaying for Pizza..by JOhn Grisham.. was all soccer!! so kinda found it less interesting.. have it been a soccer fan instead of me.. wud have loved it for sure..!!! Now..just busy with normal college life.. technical festival..kshitij around the corner.. me,khyati, hari n ashish. working on a project.. lets c wat we cum up with!!! I am in a state of loss of senses from yesterday! I came across a face of our society.., (When I talk abt our society.. I mean the so called civilized society.. a part of which I am!!!).. a face which is camouflaged behind the I-am-a civilized person pseudoface!! We have seen this numerous time in hindi flicks.. released 2 decades back.. portraying the gaonwallahs, criticising a lady.. calling her names.. bhootni.. chudail.. etc etc!! U may laugh off this now... BUh... this is wat happened to a lady here yesterday!! A person known to my family..!! The people of the cooperative society.. staged a demonstration.. asking the family to evacuate the house..!! A cooperative society.. in Surat "the fastest growing city of the world"!!! Reason: The lady, a widow, had white scars and burn marks on her face!! They say.. shez a ghost.. n their children are afraid of her!! Bull shit!!! hard to digest.. hai naa??!! Donno... what should I call this!! donno.. why people still do this!! child marriage, female foeticide, exploitation of women at home n work, ... n pata ni kya kya!!! a popular TV daily "Balika Vadhu" is watched by every single housewife in our country today (approximately!)!! Buh... Have they put in spirit.. a single thing tht is portrayed in the serial..!! It showed the myths related to menstrual flow in a girl... n criticized it heavily..!! Buh still this is a ubiquitous entity around India!!.. It showed tht how girl child is not allowed to go for higher studies.. and is married off at a tender age..!! Buh still this thing is seen everywhr...!!! They say " gender equality"!!!.. Buh then in Indian Society.. thrz always a limit for a girl child??? why??? Okay!! I agree.. the society has evolved!!! BUh the people havent!! Change begins with an individual...!! untill n unless an individual changes his/her mental state... the women in our country.. will be exploited.. !!! Wake up guys!! India need to change!!! You need to change!!!!
